Debbie and Bryan Engagement Session

Last Thursday I had the opportunity to capture engagement pictures for my soon to be bride and groom, Debbie and Bryan. I love doing engagement pictures because I really gives me a chance to know my couples better and it gives them a chance to see what it's like working with me. Debbie and Bryan were such good sports!! Online I found the perfect spot for pictures in a Nashua park. I thought it would be easy to get into but wouldn't you know we showed up and it was about a mile hike, up and down rocky terrain. Debbie and her heels and me and my suitcase camera bag it was definitely a funny site!!  Debbie and Bryan thanks for putting up with my crazy idea, it was definitely worth it!

Jessica and Matt's Engagement Pictures!

Yesterday I got together with Jessica and Matt to capture their engagement pictures. You couldn't have asked for a more perfect day, location, and couple! Their wedding day is right around the corner and I am so excited to be a part of their special day. Jessica has put so much thought into every detail of the wedding day, I know it will be one of the most beautiful weddings I've every shot! Jessica and Matt, thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of this chapter in your lives.

Christine and Dan

I had a blast photographing Christine and Dan's wedding on Saturday! The weather was beautiful and love was in the air :) Dan and Christine are such an easy going couple, their personalities compliment each other perfectly. I wish them much happiness in their future together and hope our relationship will carry on throughout the years. Here are some of my favorite pictures from their special day.

Coleen and Ryan's New Family

In February of 2005 I was lucky enough to be a part of Coleen and Ryan's wedding. Still to this day they one of the most fun loving couples I have ever photographed and am thrilled to now be their family photographer. On January 29, 2008 Audrey Jane Cunningham graced the world with her little presence. Coleen and Ryan are now proud and slightly exhausted parents of a beautiful little girl. I am so glad to be a part of another very special time in their lives!

Joya Beauty

This week I met with one of the Seacoast's best makeup artists, Joanne McDonough of Joya Beauty. She was kind enough to invite me to her studio and show me how she custom makes bridal makeup. I have never known any makeup artist to put so much time and care into deisigning signature shades for elegant weddings. If only I had a makeup artist like her at every wedding, some people just don't understand the importance of having their makeup professionally for special events. I will definitely be recommending Joya Beauty to all of my brides from now on!!

Astrid and Jay's Bundle of Joy

      I had the opportunity over the past several months to be apart of a very special arrival. Astrid and Jay, after a long wait, decided to share their love for each other with a new addition to their family. They are now very proud parents of a beautiful baby girl, Julia. It was truly an  honor to be a part of such a special time in their lives!

     Maternity and Newborn session are my favorite type of portraits, because you see such a huge difference in the couple from one session to the next! During a maternity session I have the opportunity to learn the couples personalities as married adults and during a newborn session all adult conversation has gone out the door :) We now talk in baby tongue and discuss baby bodily functions, it cracks me up every time, I love it!

MAC Photography Goes To Italy

I'm Back!! Italy was one of the most amazing countries I have ever visited. I definitely recommend vacationing there (great place for a honeymoon). The history, architecture, and artwork were breath taking. I visited Rome, Florence, and Venice and sampled some of the delicious gelato in each city. Even the gelato is a work of art!! Here are some pictures from my trip, I hope you enjoy them!

Rome

Colosseum was built between 70 - 80AD and was the largest building

built by the Roman Empire. The very second I saw it my heart

started racing! The detailed stone work is beautiful. I still can't

grasp what it must have been like building such a huge

structure without modern day tools.

This ruin was once part of the Imperial Forums. I'm not sure if it was

created by Caesar or Augustus but either way it was built between

46 - 2BC. Now that's old!!

You know me and my night shots :) Rome was the perfect place for them!

The Trevi Fountain, need I say more! I threw a coin in and made a

wish for all of my brides and grooms this year not to get too stressed

out from wedding planning :)

This is the Imperial Forum at night. Rome lights up all their historic

structures at dusk. I made my husband stand out in the rain and cold

for hours until I got the perfect shot. He was a great sport :)

Florence

Here, my husband and I are standing on the Ponte Vecchio (Italian for 

old bridge) over the Arno River. This medieval style bridge was built 

somewhere around 996AD and is now the home to tons of jewelers. 

To bad the dollar was so weak I would have bought something nice.

The colors of all the homes in Italy were gorgeous! All this picture 

needs is an old lady hanging out the window calling for her grandson 

to hurry home for dinner!

Venice

Venice was the most romantic city we visited in Italy. It was 

unlike anything I have ever seen before, absolutely breath taking!!! 

I tried, but these pictures do no justice for the true beauty of the city.

The gondolas were everywhere, making their way in and out of

even the tinniest canals. 

A gondola is a traditional Venetian sculling boat, very ornate and 

beautiful. According to Venetian superstition a couple must kiss 

under every bridge for eternal love.

Piazza San Marco is the heart of the city and includes some of 

Venice's most famous sights. Here we were standing in the court 

yard of Palazzo Dandolo built in 1400AD. The building you see in 

the front is St. Mark's Basilica.

My favorite spot, the Rialto Bridge over looking the Grand Canal. 

This was the busiest spot on the canal, great for people watching. 

The right side of the canal is lined with extravagant restaurants and 

tea rooms where we had our final dinner in Italy. 

I can't wait to go back again!!
